A Time to Act

Engagingly funny, is what best describes these two short plays. In ‘Shikillyo Baylo’ an educated feminist woman plan to control the circumstances around her much to her chagrin. ‘Kalechi Bhangsal’ introduces us to two educated unemployed men who using their wits and smarts getting whole village buzzing, when they open a shop where they sell solutions to any problem.

The Konkani play depicts the real life experience of the author who was a student activist and participated actively in students’ movement of Goa. This work tries to tell aloud about social problems and superstitions.

Konkani drama- story from Mahabharat. Arjun’s fiance is going to wed his archenemy Duryodhan by the order of Balaram, lord Krishna’s brother. But by various ingenuities, Krishna finally forces him to consent for Arjun.
