CHEMMEEN

The novel is based on the life of fishermen in the coastal areas of Kerala. While showing the daily lives of these characters, their blind faith, suspicious nature, etc., the pod of a love story is wrapped in a large pot. In 1957, the novel won the Sahitya Akademi Award.
