P.S. Lankesh was born in 1935 in Kongavalli near Shivmogge. Studied at Shivamogga, Bangalore and Mysore.
In 1963, he published the collection of stories Kereya Neernu Kerenge Chelli (Throw the Water in the Lake into the Lake), followed by Nanalla (This River), Umapatiya Scholarship Yatre (Umapati’s Scholarship Yatre) and Kallu Karguv Samaya (The Time of Stone Melting).
